Canberra United wish to thank goalkeeper Chloe Lincoln for her service to the club following the announcement that the custodian will depart United.
Lincoln, who played in seventeen A-League matches for Canberra during the 2023/2024 season, made a total of 39 career appearances for the team in green, becoming a popular member of the squad.
“Canberra United wish to thank Chloe for her time as a member of Canberra United Football Club,” CEO Samantha Farrow said. “We had positive discussions with Chloe, but she has decided to make the move interstate and we wish her the best of luck for continuous success in her career.”
The goalkeeper, who was born in Armidale , New South Wales, has featured for Sydney University, Football NSW Institute, and the Canberra United Academy whilst representing the Young Matildas, and Australia U23 at international level.
“I really enjoyed playing my football at Canberra United and it was a very difficult decision for me choosing to leave the club that has given me the opportunity to make my debut and progress my career in professional football,” Lincoln said.
“I feel very honoured to play a small role in adding to the incredible Canberra United legacy.
“Playing in front of the passionate Canberra United fanbase was an amazing experience and I would like to thank the staff at the club, my teammates, and the supporters for their backing of me during my time at Canberra.”
Canberra United extends its thanks to Chloe for her three years at the club and will be watching her career progression with keen interest.
