Canberra United wishes to thank outgoing Head Coach Njegosh Popovich after two seasons at the helm of the team in green.
Having first signed on with the club prior to the start of the 2022/23 Liberty A-League Women’s season, Popovich would go on to have the most games as Head Coach in the history of the club with 40 games under his belt.
In that time, Canberra United won 14 games, drew 11, and lost 15 with 74 goals scored.
Popovich’s first game in charge of the team was a 2-2 draw at home with Perth Glory, and his final game in charge was 3-2 win away to Brisbane Roar.
In his two seasons at the club, Popovich gave 22 players the opportunity to debut for the team, many of which made their first appearance at a professional level.
“I want to thank Njegosh for all his hard work and commitment to the club over the past two seasons,” said CEO Samantha Farrow.
“He leaves the club as our most capped coach of all time. We wish him all the best with his future coaching endeavours.”
