Canberra United are back in action for Round 13 of the 2024/25 Ninja A-League Women’s, travelling to take on the Newcastle Jets at McDonald Jones Stadium.
This will be the second time the two sides have met this season, with the previous clash ending in a nil-all draw at McKellar Park.
United are in a good run of form, with just the one loss in the last five, being the abandoned round nine match against Sydney FC, which was quickly followed up with a clean sheet win over the Wanderers.
It is yet another crucial match for United as the quest for the finals football continues, with the side sitting just outside the top six by one point.
The Jets on the other hand, have been struggling in recent weeks. They have not won a game since December, a 2-1 win over Sydney, and come into this clash having blown a two-goal lead to lose in the 98th minute away to Wellington Phoenix.
This will be the 27th time the two sides have met in the A-League Women’s. and while the all-time results heavily favours United, they have not won against the Jets in close to two years with the last win coming in February 2023.
