2024/25 Volunteers

Want to be a part of one of the fastest growing and vibrant leagues in Australia and play your part in creating a lasting legacy? Well, here’s your chance!

Canberra United are looking to recruit matchday volunteers for the 2024/25 Ninja A-League Women’s Season.

There are eleven home fixtures this season, all at McKellar Park and we need you to help us run the very best matchday experience in the league!

Canberra United are well known across the competition for the incredibly passionate home support that we attract, and those supporters keep coming back because of the quality of our matchday.

This is where you come in.

We need volunteers across a wide variety of roles to help everything run smoothly throughout our home matches and to ensure our supporters have a safe and enjoyable day at Canberra United.

Roles: 

Ticket Scanner

  • Scan and verify tickets for authenticity while guiding guests smoothly through the entry process.

Ushers/Stewards

  • Guide guests to their seats and help with any questions or issues during the event.

Parking Assistant

  • Direct cars in the parking area and provide information to guests about where to park.

Operations Assistant

  • Ensure everything runs on schedule and serve as the main contact for the match officials , teams, and referees.

Activation Crew

  • Organize and run fun activities for guests to enhance their event experience.

Mascot/Ball Kid Coordinator

  • Oversee the mascots and ball kids, making sure they know their schedules and duties.

BENEFITS

Matchday volunteers are an integral part of our Canberra United family and, as a volunteer, you will receive the following:

  • 2 tickets to each home match that you volunteer for
  • A Canberra United Volunteer Polo Shirt
  • Light Refreshments/Lunch
  • Minimum time commitment (hours, and time of day):

– 3 hours minimum, 5 hours maximum

– 2 hours before kick-off 

  • Number of people required

– Parking assistance: 9

– Ticket Scanner: 5

– Half time activation: 6-8

– Mascot/Ball kid coordinator: 2

– Usher/ Stewards: 3

– Stretcher Bearer: 8 (Training will be provided, has to be 18+)

  • Minimum age to work 16+
