The 2017 Westfield W-League schedule is here, with extra broadcast games and Sunday streaming announced.

Extra broadcast games and Sunday streaming highlight the release of the 2017 Westfield W-League season draw, released today by Football Federation Australia (FFA).
Canberra United will begin away to Melbourne Victory, before a bye in Round Two and a first home game at McKellar Park in Round 3.

Head Coach Heather Garriock said she is excited for the start of the new season, and to begin planning with fixtures now released.

“It makes it very exciting now we can now plan for our matches ahead,” she said.

“Particularly for our first match against Melbourne Victory.”

Following Round Two’s bye, three of the next four matches for Canberra United at home, including a Friday Night blockbuster against Perth Glory.

That match wil be broadcast LIVE on Fox Sports, as will the following week’s clash with Brisbane Road in Round Six.

An extra ten matches will be streamed across the season, something Garriock believes is great for the league in its 10th Season.

“The way that the Westfield W-League has evolved is sensational,” she said.

“It’s great for the game, for the players and for the fans.

“More fans at games this season is a priority as well.
