It has been another busy week off the pitch for Canberra United as preparations for the 2024/2025 Liberty A-League Season, which will be Season 17 of the National Women’s competition, continue to gather pace.
Last week, the club opened their Expression of Interest for the position of Canberra United Head Coach for Season 17 and there has been strong interest in the role. The Club looks forward to announcing the successful applicant in the coming weeks.
Elsewhere, negotiations with players are continuing with Canberra United CEO, Samantha Farrow, contacting players to provide club updates and discuss their personal playing situation for the upcoming campaign.
“There have been some progressive talks with some players regarding where they will be playing their football in the 2024/2025 Liberty A-League season,” Farrow commented. “These have been very productive for us as a club, and we will be in a position to announce new signings once a coach has been appointed.”
In the Commercial Department, the club have been in talks with several prospective sponsors and business partners and have made progress in this area as well with more information to follow.
