Canberra United are pleased to announce the retention of four players from last season’s squad as head Coach Antoni Jagarinec begins to build his roster for the 2025/26 Ninja A-League season.
United welcome back Young Matildas international Tegan Bertolissio, central playmakers Emma Robers and Bethany Gordon, and the versatile Darcy Malone for a further stint in green.
Bertolissio was a part of the team on twenty-two occasions, Robers playing a game more and scoring the first of United’s two goals in the 2-1 success against Brisbane Roar at Perry Park in the first game of the New Year.
Gordon was on target twice in 2024/25, netting in away matches against Western United and Western Sydney Wanderers as she made eighteen appearances across her second stint at the club.
Malone, meanwhile, made twenty-three appearances and netted headers against Adelaide United and Western Sydney Wanderers.
“I am delighted that we have been able to secure the services of four core players from the squad that played Finals football last season,” Head Coach Antoni Jagarinec commented on the signings.
“All these players played an integral part in the success of the club last season playing in a variety of positions throughout the year. In seeking to begin building the team for the new campaign I was keen to secure the players who were vital to our patterns of play in 2025/26.
“The signings of players who formed a part of our leadership group is also important as these, along with Michelle [Heyman] will provide the guidance for the younger elements of our squad.”
Canberra United will continue to build the roster ahead of the 2025/26 Ninja A-League season with more signing announcements to follow.
