Canberra United are calling on the generosity of our wonderful supporters to help make Christmas special for those children unfortunate enough to be spending the lead-up to the festive season, or even Christmas Day itself, in hospital.
United are asking for donations of non-perishable unwrapped gifts/presents at our home match with Wellington Phoenix at McKellar Park on Saturday 10 December 2022, after which will be delivered to our local Children’s Wards in local hospitals by Canberra United players.
“This time of year is one for family and friends to celebrate together and for some families that time will be spent in hospital,” Canberra United CEO Chris Gardiner said.
“Whilst our donations of gifts to local hospitals won’t make that any easier, we do hope that the presents will raise a smile and bring some happiness to those unfortunate enough to spend this time of year in hospital.”
Supporters can bring any gifts to the match to be loaded pre-match into the Canberra United Ute which will be parked just outside the main entrance to the ground.
