Canberra United will look to bounce back from three straight losses when they take on the Newcastle Jets in Newcastle on Saturday morning.

A 4-0 loss to Sydney FC last weekend was the heaviest that they had suffered so far, but Dean Ugrinic was still happy with the progress of the team after that result.

Narrow losses to the Mariners and Wanderers had created plenty of positives and there is reason to be confident heading into Saturday’s game with the Jets only narrowly taking the chocolates when these teams met in pre-season.

United had to re-jig their setup last week with Ben Obst out after his ACL injury, and Zac Barbatano who had been so effective coming off the bench previously, got the start and it is likely to be the same again.

Ugrinic has options to play with but his preferred starting lineup so far has performed well and there is no major need for him to tinker too much.

He will be hoping the goalless run ends though with United having failed to score in their last two outings after scoring twice in round one.
