Munoz shows her athletic class in 4kg Shot Put!

Matildas and Canberra United Football Striker Caitlin Muñoz showed she’s not just skilled on the Pitch after throwing the 4kg Shot Put an amazing 9.04m today at the UC Life’s Minute to Win It Mini Games.

Muñoz’s performance would have given her the silver medal at the 2016 ACT State Championships in the Open Women’s Shot Put. With a little training perhaps Caitlin can represent her country in another sport?

UC’s Josh “the Wombat” Burke wasn’t to be outdone by heaving the 7.26kg Open Men’s Weight an amazing 9.53m. Josh’s throw would have won the ACT Championships by 60cm from another UC Tiger Sam Rauraa who coincidentally threw a PB on his way to 8.92m at the event in March.

The Mini Games was a great event with plenty of laughs and lots of energy being used in just 60 seconds. Ginninderra’s Jesse Singh was the crowd favourite with his enthusiasm shown in every event.  He was unlucky not to unseat Josh from the top Individual winner in the Men’s competition.
