Canberra United are back in action for Round 10 of the Ninja A-League Women’s 2024/25 season, travelling to take on Brisbane Roar to start off the new year.
United come into this match looking to get back in the winners circle, and face a test in the form of a Roar side that has been one of the form sides of the competition in recent weeks.
It is the second time United has faced the Roar this season, with the previous encounter being a 3-2 win for Canberra over the Queenslanders in Round One.
Since then however, the Roar have been dominant in ther results, with the exception of a 2-1 loss away to Wellington Phoenix.
Since Round One, the Roar have scored an astonishing 25 goals in their last seven games, with 14 in their last two fixtures alone.
They have been just as strong defensively, with only six goals conceded since the season opener, and a total of nine conceded for the season.
Their form at home has been strong, undefeated in the three games they have played at Perry Park, only conceding one goal at home while scoring six.
Canberra fans should have fond memories of playing at Perry Park, with the most recent visit to the ground resulting in a 2-1 win to end the 2023/24 season. United have not lost in Brisbane since the 2019/20 season, with three draws and one win in their last four visits to the sunshine state.
