Canberra United can confirm the signings of Madison Ayson, Sarah Morgan, Kelli Brown, Zoe Tolland, Caley Tallon-Henniker and Tehya Aspland ahead of the 2026/27 Ninja A-League Women season, adding proven quality and genuine depth across the park as the club builds towards an exciting campaign at McKellar Park.
Two internationals headline the group. Madison Ayson returns to Canberra after a season at Sydney FC, bringing Philippines international experience and a ball-playing defender’s eye for the game, having made 15 appearances and scored twice in her original Canberra stint. Kelli Brown arrives from Newcastle Jets as one of the competition’s most dangerous strikers, a Football Ferns international who scored six goals in 19 appearances last season and also scored a hat-trick for New Zealand in World Cup qualifying in February.
Canberra also add serious A-League Women pedigree in defence and midfield. Zoe Tolland joins from Adelaide United, where she made 63 appearances across four seasons and was crowned the club’s 2024/25 Rising Star, while Sarah Morgan returns to her hometown club after three seasons at Adelaide United, where she made 60 appearances and scored three goals.
Out wide, Caley Tallon-Henniker joins from Sydney FC with a genuine turn of pace, having scored on her A-League Women debut and won the 2023/24 Championship before racking up more than 40 appearances in the sky blue. And in Tehya Aspland, United add one of the region’s brightest young talents, a Junior Matilda signing her first A-League Women contract after helping Australia qualify for their first-ever FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup.
It’s a statement of intent from Canberra United as they build a squad capable of a very exciting season ahead.
Canberra United’s 2026/27 Ninja A-League Women season begins away at Central Coast Mariners on 24 October, before the club’s first home match against Western Sydney Wanderers at McKellar Park on 1 November.
