Canberra United will welcome longtime rivals Perth Glory to McKellar Park for Round 14 of the 2024/15 Ninja A-League Women’s season.
This is the second time the two sides have met this season, with the previous meeting a one-all draw back in Unite Round, and will be the 31st match between the two in 17 years of the A-League Women’s.
Perth sit in ninth spot on the ladder, only one spot behind United in eighth place, but trail by six points making this a crucial clash for Canberra to keep in touch with the top six and put some distance from the chasing pack.
It has been a less than ideal season for the West Australians, but they have claimed the points over top four sides Adelaide United and Brisbane Roar, the latter coming with a thrilling 93rd minute winner last week.
Having just beat the high flying Roar, the visitors will be full of confidence as they come to McKellar Park.
Recent results against Perth have not been ideal for United, with five draws and two losses in the last seven, however Antoni Jagarinec’s troops are in a good run of form, with only the one loss in the last six.
Expect plenty of entertainment, with an average of 4.3 goals in the last six matches, as United go head-to-head yet again with the Glory in what is shaping up to be another massive clash.
