Canberra United held their Westfield W-League Official Season Launch on Friday 22nd October 2010 at Radford College with Senator Kate Lundy guest of honour on a gloriously sunny day.
After being introduced by Canberra United CEO Heather Reid, Senator Lundy welcomed the guests and assembled media before extending a warm welcome to all of Canberra United-s new recruits for Season Three of the Westfield W-League, including the trio from the Central Coast Mariners and Sally Shipard, who is currently overseas with the Matildas alongside team mates Lydia Williams and Caitlin Munoz.
The official announcement of the playing squad and coaching staff was followed by a signing session of the students of Radford College with the ever-popular Grace Gill signing some of the Season Two posters that featured the United midfielder. United also distributed copies of their 32-page colour media guide to assembled guests detailing profiles and statistics on the club and its playing staff for season 2010/11.
Meanwhile, Capital Football Game Development Manager, Pat McCann, held some exercises and small-sided games for members of the Radford College Premier League under-18 boy-s and girl-s squads with United players Jocelyn Mara, Kahlia Hogg and Jennifer Bisset dusting off the cobwebs and joining the kick-around.
