UNITED TOUCH DOWN IN NEWCASTLE FOR JETS CLASH

Canberra finish off their monster week of football with a third game in seven days, taking on the Newcastle Jets away at No.2 Sportsground for Round 11.

This is the second time the two sides have met this season, with the previous fixture going the way of the Jets at McKellar Park.

In recent weeks, Canberra have drawn with both of last seasons Grand Finalists in tough encounters. A one all draw at home to Western United was followed by a one all draw with Sydney FC midweek at Leichhardt Oval.

Michelle Heyman has edged even closer to her record breaking 100th goal, and now finds herself one goal away from the historic century. Heyman has a habit of scoring against the Jets, with six goals in her last four against the Novocastrians.

Young Matildas goalkeeper Chloe Lincoln has been in fine form recently, having been instrumental in United getting a point in their last two games. The shot-stopper sits second in the league for saves made with 48.

The Jets come into this game with two wins in their last three games, with wins against Adelaide United and Western United either side of a loss to Wellington Phoenix. They currently sit seventh on the ladder with 13 points.
