UNITED SIGN STEADFAST MIDFIELDER EMILY CONDON

Canberra United can confirm the signing of midfielder Emily Condon for the 2026/27 Ninja A-League Women season, adding more than a decade of top-flight experience to the club’s midfield.

Condon arrives having spent her entire senior career to date at Adelaide United, making her first-team debut as a 15-year-old in January 2014. She went on to become one of the most enduring performers in Ninja A-League Women history, making 148 appearances and scoring 23 goals in red, and in March 2024 became the first Adelaide United player to reach 100 appearances in the competition.

Her form for the Reds earned representative honours at the highest level, including the 2017/18 Rising Star award, a Matildas debut against Portugal at the 2018 Algarve Cup, and, most recently, being named Adelaide United’s 2025/26 Player of the Year and finishing inside the top 10 of Julie Dolan Medal voting.

Condon is no stranger to McKellar Park or the green and gold — she made her senior debut against Canberra United in January 2014 and brought up her 50th career appearance against United five years later. Now 28, she joins Antoni Jagarinec’s squad ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.

Head Coach Antoni Jagarinec said Condon’s experience and quality would be a significant addition to the group:

“Emily is a player with genuine quality and a winning mentality, and her experience at the top level of this competition speaks for itself. We think she’ll add real leadership through the middle of the park and we’re excited to see what she brings to the group.”

Condon said: “I am thrilled to sign with Canberra United for the upcoming season. There is a fantastic culture at this club, and I’m incredibly excited to test myself and embrace the new challenges ahead. Getting the opportunity to play alongside such high-quality players-including reuniting with some familiar faces and former teammates-is a massive privilege. I can’t wait to get to work with the squad, learn from the coaching staff, and walk out in front of our incredible fans at McKellar Park.”

Canberra United’s 2026/27 Ninja A-League Women season begins away against Central Coast Mariners on 24 October, before the club’s first home match against Western Sydney Wanderers at McKellar Park on 1 November in Matchweek 3.
