This season Canberra United has teamed up with the Rotary Club of Gungahlin to provide Car Parking attendants and direction on our Home match days. As a part of this Canberra United spectators will be asked to donate a gold coin for parking. All monies raised will be going directly to Rotary to fund:
- RYPEN (Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment) is a 3 day camp and program for 14 to 17 year old boys and girls. The aim is to communicate to these young people a series of ideas, problems and social experiences which will assist them in forming their own values and moral standards, and also to broaden their horizons culturally, socially and academically. Youth from Gungahlin schools are identified to attend this program.
- Play and Learn, Early Childhood Education and Development project in Timor Leste provides opportunities for children from 0 to school age to participate in stimulating, educational activities which will contribute to their good health, stimulate their learning and encourage their development from an early age.
We appreciate your understanding of this partnership and the good cause to which these donations will go towards. We look forward to seeing you at McKellar Park this Sunday as we take on Sydney FC in Round 3 of the Westfield W-League, kicking off at 4:30pm!
