UNITED FACE MIDWEEK SKY BLUES TEST

Canberra United return to action just four days after their last match, taking on Sydney FC at Leichhardt Oval in Round 9 of the Ninja A-League Women’s.

The clash is the second of busy week for United, with Antoni Jagarinec’s squad facing the task of three games in seven days.

United head into this clash unbeaten in their last three games, with a draw against Newcastle and wins against Brisbane and Western United putting the club just outside the top six.

Sydney are currently struggling for consistency, as they find themselves sitting in eleventh place, only off the bottom by goal difference. They have just the one win to their name so far this season, with three draws and six losses as well.

While not having won since Round Three back in November, the Sky Blues have drawn in their last two, against Melbourne City at home and Perth Glory away, neither of which are easy feats.

Recent results against the Sky Blues have been positive for United, unbeaten in the last three with two wins and a draw.

Last time these two sides met at Leichhardt Oval, saw a tense one-all draw play out with Michelle Heyman scoring her 99th A-League goal.

This match will also have an added family head-to-head, as Jynaya Dos Santos comes up against younger sister Indiana for the first time.
