BETHANY GORDON REJOINS UNITED

Canberra United have added experience to their 2024/25 A-League roster with the signing of Bethany Gordon, the A-League midfielder returning to the club where she spent one season in 2017/18.

Gordon made two appearances for United in that campaign and has since gone on to represent her hometown club of Western Sydney Wanderers following a successful spell in the Steel City with Newcastle Jets.

The talented midfielder made the move to Western Sydney after a successful season in the National Premier League with Macarthur Rams, a club where she has played a huge role in the squad that achieved an incredible three-peat championship success in the New South Wales competition.

“We are pleased to be able to add Bethany to the squad for the new season and welcome her back to Canberra United,” Head Coach Antoni Jagarinec commented about the arrival.

“Bethany is a dynamic midfield player, with a vast range of passing, and brings her A-League experience to our squad. I am looking forward to working with her for the upcoming season.”

Gordon played ninety-four minutes for Canberra for 2017/18 in wins over Sydney FC and Adelaide United and has since gone on to rack up thirty-six more appearances in the competition.

“I am looking forward to returning to Canberra for a second stint in the A-League competition and to working with Antoni (Jagarinec) and the coaching staff.

“As the club that gave me my professional debut, I feel a sense of connection that I can build on with this group.

“I fondly recall the magnificent support the team gets from the loyal supporters and can’t wait to return to the atmosphere of McKellar Park.”

Gordon has committed to Canberra United for the 2024/25 season, and you can too! Packages for season memberships are available now on our club website at www.canberraunited.com.au.
