PREVIEW: UNITED BACK ON THE ROAD FOR REDS CLASH

Canberra United are back on the road after a six-day break, travelling to Adelaide for a Friday night match in Round Three of the 2025/26 Ninja A-League Women’s.

After heading across the ditch to face Wellington Phoenix in the Capital Clash, securing a draw in tough conditions, and will be confident of securing a positive result away to a Lady Reds side that have struggled in their opening matches.

In their opening two matches, Adelaide failed to score a goal, with a 3-0 loss to Central Coast and a goalless draw at home to Sydney FC.

Despite the results, the Reds have been putting in strong performances so far, with the stat sheet showing a different story.

They have had the majority of possession in the first two rounds, as well completing more passes and having more shots on goal.

With key players Chelsie Dawber and Fiona Worts making their return to play off the bench last week, the Reds will likely look a different side.

Canberra head into the match having had similar fortunes. The side dominated the stats in the season opener against Newcastle, but fell to a late goal, while they were on top in the attacking stats against Wellington in a one-all draw.

Recent trips to the City of Churches have been positive for Canberra, with two draws and a win in the last three trips to South Australia. The team will be looking to keep their run of results in Adelaide going, as they search for their first win of the season.
