Canberra United make one of their toughest trips of the season this weekend, as the team travels to Western Australia to take on Perth Glory in Round 17.
With only six rounds left in the season before finals, every point is becoming increasingly more crucial as United search for the club’s first piece of silverware since the 2016/17 season.
This will be the second time that United have met Perth, with a three-nil win in Round Four the previous result between the two.
The recent head to head against this weekend’s opponent heavily favours United, unbeaten in the last five meetings with three wins in a row.
A return to form, with wins over Melbourne Victory and Sydney FC, has seen the side solidify third spot on the ladder with first place and the 2025/26 season premiership firmly within reach.
While Perth are currently sitting outside a finals place, they are only three points outside the top six and have a solid track record at their notoriously difficult home venue of the Sam Kerr Football Centre.
The side has struggles for goals recently, having only scored once in their last four outings. By contrast, United have scored six in that same timeframe.
