Canberra United are back in action, travelling to take on Brisbane Roar in a Friday Night clash in Round 14 of the 2025/26 Ninja A-League season.
United are looking to bounce back from defeat against Wellington Phoenix last week, going down to two late goals after playing the entire second half with ten players, with Tegan Bertolissio being shown two yellow cards in the first half.
Despite the loss, United often looked the better side against the Phoenix, with both goals being scored in the final ten minutes of the match.
Brisbane have been steady in recent weeks, with three draws and a win from their last four matches. The side played Melbourne City midweek, coming away with a point against the league leaders through a late equaliser through American import Ashlyn Miller.
The hosts will be sweating on the fitness of Japanese midfielder Momo Hayashi after she was forced off late in the match against City.
United currently sit in second on the ladder while Brisbane are ninth, but there are only three points separating the sides, in one of the most closely contested A-League Women’s seasons in recent memory.
Recent results against the Roar have favoured United, having won the last four encounters against the Queensland side, with two wins at the Roar’s home ground.
